Location and time

Location: Palo Duro Canyon - 11450 Park Rd. 5  Canyon, TX 79015

We will meet at the Headquarters/Entrance Gate. Going into the park cell service is spotty so we must meet at the Headquarters/Entrance Gate then from there we will drive into the Canyon.

Reminder: It's crucial to arrive on time for your photo session. Being a natural light photographer, I rely on the sun as my primary light source. Arriving promptly ensures we make the most of the flattering and creative light for your pictures. Looking forward to capturing beautiful moments with you!

LENGTH OF SESSION

I am definitely an overshooter and love my job, which causes me to get lost in the moment quite easily. No worries, though - I’m dedicated to providing a great experience for all my clients. Even though I tend to get caught up in the moment, you can rest assured that my sessions do not go over an hour.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please don’t go out and buy new shoes and outfits for the shoot. I know it’s always exciting to prepare for the session and tempting to buy new clothes. I want what you all wear to be comfortable and reflect who you are. I recommend coordinating with the family and try not to focus on matching! Here are a couple of blogs that will help with what to wear. What To wear to a session? and What NOT to wear.

YOUR CHILDREN

To get the most out of your session, I ask the children to be well-rested and go to the bathroom before arrival. This is crucial for on-location shoots. (park bathrooms are usually far away and aren’t always in the best condition) We will take a break if needed. It’s helpful to bring snacks (dry, non-messy) and water. Kids will get thirsty with this Texas heat. To help children with the session give them a heads up and let them know a friend will be taking some pictures of them. Lastly, it is my goal to capture children in their natural state. It is best to give the children time to be comfortable, feel safe, and have the freedom to explore.

PETS

Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times. Please bring water for your pets it can get HOT in the canyon and it’s important to stay hydrated. Lastly, please bring a poop bag to pick up droppings.

If you have any questions send me an email and I will get back to you shortly!
