Photographs that will make you pause

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hola, I’m

Vanessa.

Mother of two, proud Tia, wife, daughter and the photographer who will help you forget the camera is even there.

"I photograph families because I believe every family deserves images that feel natural, meaningful, and full of connection."

Family means everything to me. I'm a daughter, a wife, a mother of two beautiful girls, a sister to five siblings, and a Tia. That's not a bio that's the reason I pick up my camera.

Becoming a mother taught me how fast the precious moments go. They don't ask your permission. They just pass. That realization is what drives how I photograph yours. I'm not here to hand you a list of poses. I'm here to create space for your family to just be… messy, loud, emotional, authentic and to catch all of it.

I started this journey as a creative outlet during a career shift, graduated from Amarillo College with my Certificate in Photography in 2016, and never looked back. Years of practice and mentorship shaped the work I love today, not just candid snaps, but intentional, emotion-forward, personal portraits that you'll be looking at thirty years from now.

In my free time you'll find me with an Audible book in my ears, catching up on reality TV, or at the gym. My girls keep me grounded and inspired every single day.

"I'm not looking for stiff poses or perfect smiles. I'm looking for the heart of your family, exactly as you are right now."

Where you are free to be.

You don't have to perform here. You are free to be messy, loud, emotional, and authentic.

I'll guide your family through a calm, thoughtful session that feels effortless — letting your connection and emotion shine through naturally. I have a knack for engaging kids, whether they're shy or full of energy, so everyone ends up comfortable and having fun.

If you're looking for stiff, perfectly posed images, I'm probably not your photographer. But if you want something that actually looks and feels like your family — you're in the right place.

ARE WE MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME?

What to expect from me on session day.

A heads-up so you recognize me when you see me.

I’ll wear a neutral-colored shirt and comfortable bottoms for your motherhood photography session. I might look like a hot mess, don’t be alarmed. I’m a mama trying to make it to the session on time! My sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and focused on authentic connection, whether we’re in my downtown studio or in the comfort of your home. Expect gentle direction, natural light portraits, and candid moments that capture the real, everyday beauty of motherhood.
